Why multi-scent cup candles are genuinely hard
Running a single formulation, the hard part is throughput. Running multiple scents, three things have to happen at once: you have to change scents, change them cleanly, and change them fast.
Fragrance oils are volatile. If the piping still carries traces of the previous scent, the finished candle carries it too. But a thorough clean means stopping the line — and output and delivery dates suffer together.
The 12-head mixing filling system exists to resolve that trade-off.
The eight stations of a cup candle line
A complete cup candle line chains eight operations, from empty cup to packed carton:

The line occupies roughly 36 ㎡ (1.2 m × 30 m) and needs 9 operators. The standard version handles 18 × 20 cm cups (height × diameter), with custom sizes available.

How the fragrance mixing actually works
The key is multi-channel simultaneity plus single-pass blending: twelve nozzles dispense together, and fragrance and wax are proportioned at the metering stage. The formulation is completed in a single fill — no pre-mixing in a large tank.
Two things follow directly:
- Better scent retention — fragrance spends less time in contact with hot wax, so less volatilizes.
- More stable batches — the ratio is controlled by an HMI + PLC servo metering system, not by operator feel.
What a five-minute changeover is worth
A dedicated scent changeover valve drains and switches channels without dismantling the line.
The practical consequence: multi-scent orders no longer have to be batched by scent. Lavender today, citrus tomorrow, with only minutes lost between them. Your scheduling freedom changes completely.
Quality control across the line
Each station is signed off before delivery. The focus points:
- Wick inserting: wick length tolerance, tab crimp integrity, centering on the cup base
- Cup pushing: feed orientation consistency and spacing accuracy, with no pile-ups or gaps in continuous running
- Preheating oven: temperature uniformity inside the chamber; no scorching or discoloration of the wick
- Filling: per-nozzle weight records, drip prevention and seal-head action
- Flat baking oven: surface smoothness after re-melting
- Labeling: position accuracy sampling, plus a functional test of the "no label, no pass" sensor
- Line integration: rhythm matching, emergency stop response, alarm reset and continuous full-rate running
