Project Overview
Yide Candle Factory was able to design and hold a personalized production line that has the capability of inserting a wick in a tapered glass cup to a client that ranks as among the best in Guatemala. It is also an innovative solution because it has cylindrical base mould that makes the conical glass cups more stable avoiding the occurrence of tipping during production. This automatized line can work with an amazing speed of 2000-2500 pieces per hour, which saves on labor resources by 2-3 people.
Technical Highlights
Customized Mold Design:
Tapered glass cups are offered with special cylindrical bottom molds to support the best stability of them.
Drying System:
The front end reciprocating conveyor belt is used to fully dry retained steam dispelled within the cups prior to the insertion of wick, and which, after suitable amendment, is capable of using the steam label shrink machine currently used by the client.
Automated Process:
Automatic wick insertion is done manually where the cup is naturally dried up and put into molds. Once this is completed the mold and the cup go back into the rotary table to recycle the molds.
Project Significance
The project is the first time Yide partners with one of the biggest 3 candles manufacturers in South America. It took only 3 months of order to deliver the equipment to the client due to Yide excellent engineering capacity and client satisfaction after 18 months of technical discussions.
